Matthew Marl, Pembrokeshire College

Biography

Matthew Marl joined Pembrokeshire College in 2002 as a System Administrator. In 2005 he moved to the role of IT Manager, responsible for a team of 12, managing the college's network, computer and telephony systems, along with the management information and learning environment services. His working objectives are to optimise and improve services to staff and students, utilising advances in technology to deliver increased efficiency and value for money, and the early adoption of a SIP telephony gateway via the Janet procurement is a good example of this working in practice. If only everything in IT was so straight forward! Matt keeps his sanity by farming a small flock of 50 sheep with his family in the Preseli Hills
